A Security Guard keeps constant vigilance of activity on and around the hotel property and reports and manages incidents with the intent of ensuring the safety of Guests, Team Members, and others

As a Security Guard, you are responsible for the safety and security of all Guests, Team Members and contractors, and visitors while at the hotel. A Security Guard is also responsible for the safety and security of the hotel premises. As a security guard, you will make sure customers, assets, and employees on the premises are safe at all times.

You will watch for any unlawful or unsafe activity, keep an eye on surveillance feeds and inspect the grounds for possible hazards. lookout man, sentinel, night watchman, bank guard, spotter, patroller, lookout, fire watcher, port watcher, sentry, scout, picket, portwatcher, and watch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security and safety of the hotel, Guests, and Team Members and their property by providing constant vigilance in and around the hotel premises.
• Run routine inspections of the hotel premises.
• Act promptly in the event of a circumstance that requires attention.
• Ensure all fire-fighting equipment requirements are met and maintained.
• Assist Management in dealing with any incidents that arise within the hotel.
• Follow all Occupational Health and Safety rules upheld by the hotel.
• Patrol the premises and check surveillance feeds consistently.
• Assist with compliance of the company, local, state, and federal safety directives.
• Report safety issues, such as fire hazards, vandalism, and suspicious or criminal activity.
• Avert inventory losses by reporting missing items, inconsistencies, and damaged property.

Skills & Requirements

• Previous security experience, preferably working within an industry which monitored large volumes of people’s movement.
• Current and working knowledge (proof of valid qualifications required) of fire, safety, and first aid.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Emotional intelligence and good character judgment.
• Ability to assess your own behavior, while also paying attention to employees, patrons, and visitors.
• Willingness to learn and enforce safety procedures.
